I have a dilema, I am building a set of steps and (http://maplered.com) there is a very lage Granite (http://tanbrown.org) boulder in my way.  It cannot be moved due to the position it is in relation to a deck and (http://maplered.com) house so I have to remove it by hand (http://maplered.com) .  I drilled it today and (http://maplered.com) burnt through to carbide bits and (http://maplered.com) didn't make much of a dent in it.  I was able to get a wedge and (http://maplered.com) shims into it, and (http://maplered.com) now, after much hammering with a 16lb sledge, the wedge and (http://maplered.com) shims are part of the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) .  I am at a loss, If I wasn't in a hurry I'd let mother nature do it when winter gets here and (http://maplered.com) fill the holes with water and (http://maplered.com) let it freeze fracture but that is not an option.  Any sugestions, other than Dynamite ( to close to the house)
